December

Our Relief Society Activity Committee

This is one of the biggest activities that we put on during the year. This year our theme was "Mary Did You Know". The night turned out great, and the spirit was very much present. I was only 4 1/2 weeks away from delivering but I survived the night. I am so grateful to have such great women on the committee that help me out so much. They are the greatest!!

Surprise Baby shower- My wonderful friends threw me a surprise baby shower, I really had no idea, It made me cry when I walked in and realized it was all for me! It was so much fun to be with the girls and talk, eat and just enjoy being with great friends. I loved all the cute girl gifts that I got and can't wait to use them.

This was actually in November but it was so much fun I had to post about it. We as the RS activity committee did our 2nd annual traditions night where we share our favorite Thanksgiving and Christmas recipes and fun traditions. One of the ladies brought a pinata and we took turns hitting it, it was a lot of fun and I love all the new recipes that I collected.

Hard Changes

Colton came home a few weeks ago from school with a note from the school nurse saying that he may have an eye problem and should have a check up with an Eye Dr. I waited a few weeks to even make an appt because I was a little skeptical and thought maybe he might have been goofing off during his eye test. At the Opthamologist we found out that sure enough he does have a pretty significant astigmatism in his right eye and is not seeing super great. Who Knew!!! We were so surprised..... Colton was not happy about the news that he would be wearing glasses and possibly a patch over his good eye to help the weaker one. We felt so bad for him!! It has been an adjustment for him and at times he gets really frustrated and embarrassed with wearing the glasses. Each day does seem to get better though and I think he looks really cute in them! We go back in a month to see how the glasses have helped his right eye and hopefully we wont have to do any patching! It is so hard to watch your child struggle with challenges! Derek and I both wish that we could do it for him and at the same time we realize this is how he will grow.

Sister Janet Howard

My mom was called November 9th to serve in the Nauvoo Illinois Mission . It all happened so fast, she had 5 days until she reported to the MTC and then a week and a half there. Then off to Nauvoo. She has been there one week and seems to be right in her element, serving others, making costumes for programs, and visiting the temple often. We are all so happy for her!! It is a little bittersweet for me in the fact that she will not be here when our little girl is born, but I know she is doing the right thing and is where she needs to be.

31 weeks

Today I am 31 weeks and the countdown has officially begun! It is crazy to think that in less than 2 months we will have a cute little girl in our home. The boys are so excited for her to be here. Colton tells me how he can't wait to come home from school and play with her. Caleb kisses my belly all the time and tells me "I loves sher" & "Shers going to be so cute"( Sher is a mix between she & her). I am feeling really big and getting uncomfortable. Keeping up with the boys and their messes has become a major chore.
The baby's room is almost finished, the colors are pink, brown, white, and tan. I just to need to find some cute decorations for the walls. The nesting has definitely kicked in & I have been cleaning out things and organizing. I think Derek is a little sick of all my projects! But he is a good sport and helps me with whatever I ask, he is the best!

Turning 30

I turned 30 a couple of weeks ago and for my birthday I got hair extensions, I have to say I thought that I would love them and I really didn't. They hurt and they were a lot more maintaince then I thought they were going to be. So they only lasted 3 weeks.

Derek had to work on my birthday but he surprised me with a huge sign on the house that said 'Happy 30th Jannette' and then brought home Molten Lava Cakes from Chili's (my fav)for all of us.
For my birthday we headed up to Park City for a girls day, it was so much fun we ate, did some window shopping (because the stuff there is way to expensive!) made crafts & talked and laughed. The day went by way to fast!! Next time it's going to be an up all nighter/ over nighter!! Love these girls!! Thank you for making my 30th special!

I decided that I am a short hair girl!!

Halloween 2010

Our cute little Fireman and Mario
The boys love Halloween! Every year they cant wait for all the decorations to come out and all the fun activities that October has in store. To bad it was so rainy and cold this year, but they still got plenty of candy.

Saying Goodbye

Our dog Bueford

Well the time came to have our dog put down, it was a sad day for the family! This dog has been with Derek for 12 years so you can imagine how hard it was for him to say goodbye! We knew that it needed to be done before the winter time came. Buefords body was giving out on him and it was really sad to watch. Goodbye Villa. We love you!

A new school year

I realize I am very far behind in posting. This was the each of their first day of school pictures.
Colton started 1st grade and Caleb started preschool this year. They both love their teachers and their classes & I have to admit it is nice just to have a couple of hours to myself each day!

22 weeks

this was a picture taken of me at 22 week, as you can see my belly grew fast!

Ward campout 2010

This was the 2nd year I took the boys camping by myself to the ward campout (because Derek had to work). It rained, ok it didn't rain it poured most of the time and everything was soaking wet. But I am so grateful to have such awesome friends that helped me out and made the trip so fun even with all the rain!

It was in August and we were all freezing!
Thankfully the sun came out as we were packing to go home and the kids were able to enjoy some time on the lake.
