Last week Derek called to tell me they would be doing some training in South Jordan, so even though I was feeling pretty flu-ish, I packed the kids and took them over to see Derek at work. It was cool seeing the helicopter come around the corner, we could see Derek in the back window waving at us. It was a proud moment for me. Colton thought is was pretty cool. Caleb, well he just wanted to play at the park that was near by.
These were the only pictures I got on my camera..of course the batteries died.
It was fun to watch him at work, he got out and treated a fake patient in the ambulance then loaded them into the helicopter and transported them to the U of U hostpital...it was all business so we didn't get to talk.

He has spent a lot of time flying now. He just passed his final on Thursday and all his training is done Yeah! Derek is officially on his own now. We are proud! Love you D
